Because it is a flat bench, the Body Solid SFB349G focuses more on the classic design of the traditional weight bench, which means that more emphasis is placed on horizontal robustness and resilience than versatility and variation. Also, even though it does not have nearly as many form and position variations as the more modern flat/incline/decline design, its tough nylon protectors and extra-thick steel reinforcement are nevertheless manufactured with bio-mechanics in mind to fit users of all weights and sizes.
